DFC Seniors Meeting - 14th December 2015
The latest DFC Seniors meeting was held in the premises of Showcase the Street in Manhattan Works, Dundonald Street on Monday 14th December.
Although a smaller than normal group met, as always, a very open and honest exchange of views was had. It was later discovered that a few members had been in the area but didn't find the entry door that is right at the rear of the premises!
The first part of the meeting was a discussion regards the present team performances and general club news. This type of discussion always gives everyone a chance to put their views across!
Secondly, we had the opportunity to view the STS facilities including the indoor soccer pitches that are available to rent by all sections of the community. This proved to be a popular tour by all in attendance. Fergus Storrier, the showcase the street chairman, was then invited into the meeting room to give us an oversight of all the facilities available including new features that are to be added for the benefit of the whole community. He also outlined the relationship with the club regards the use of the premises, particularly from the clubs youth academy. Fergus was warmly thanked for his input.
Finally it was Bobby Glennie's turn to entertain us with his stories from his playing days about former players and managers. As usual with Bob it proved highly entertaining with his "no holds barred" delivery!
